My name is Olivia (or Liv if you get to know me well) and I’m a multi-disciplinary graphic designer who loves colour, is a sucker for stamps and can often be found rummaging round local charity shops in moments I have to myself - see my blog A Magpie’s Dream for an insight into my many finds.
My work aims to provoke conversation around negative, futile human behaviours that we fall into; critiques on everyday life, but through a poetic, abstract and figurative lens. Sometimes this materialises in the form of illustrative and photographic work, other times in publications or essays. My work always has an observational quality, finding intrigue in aspects of human life that others may not.
I’m interested in how graphic design can be manipulated to create a certain physicality and tactility, which is why print is medium I am often drawn to. An avid collector of unusual flea-market finds, I’m curious how other tactile forms like the objects we treasure and choose to surround ourselves with, can communicate new narratives.
